Thornton Library - Regular Events
Monday
1.30 – 3.00 p.m. - Toddler and Talk - a new group run by staff from Thornton Children's Centre in conjunction with library staff to help get your children chatting! Session consists of freeplay, snack, activity and a story. Under 5s and parents/carers all welcome.
Tuesday
10.30 –11.00 p.m. - Baby Bounce and Rhyme (babies up to approx. 18 months with parent/carers
2.00 – 3.15 p.m. - Adult Reading Group (monthly) – everyone welcome. See staff for dates and details of this month's book. This event occurs every second Tuesday from 13th March 2012
2.15 – 3.30 p.m. - Go On Beginner's computer course (no charge). See staff for further details
5.00 – 6.00 p.m. - AppleMac music sessions - Cost: Free. Every Tuesday afternoon and suitable for all ages. For more information telephone 01253 869138
Thursday
10.30 –12.00 noon - Craft and Chat – come and try a new craft, or pass your skills on to someone else - everyone welcome. (Discount available to members from some local craft shops)
2.45 - 3.15 p.m. - Toddler Rhymetime (pre school children with parent/carers)
Saturday
10.00 – 12.00 noon - Warhammer (2nd & 4th Saturday in the month)
11.00 – 12.00 noon - Chatterbooks – Children's (age 7–10 years reading group and related activity (Saturday 12th May)
11.00 – 12.00 noon - 'It's your turn- Don't Squabble Play Scrabble!' – Board games for children ages approx 5 – 11yrs (Mums, dads and other big kids welcome too!)Every 3rd Saturday.
